1. Portable mobility scooters , for short trips and shopping centres. These will travel on good surfaces up to 12 miles, depending on your choice, and have small batteries which are charged off-board as a rule. Designed for shopping and short trips on good surfaces, pavement only use.
   
   
2. Class 2 mobility scooters Some have suspension, some have captain’s seats, others are simpler and less expensive to purchase. Some are more suited to hills than others (please ask for advice) and are suitable for different weights of user and different range of travel. Most of these are charged on-board.
   
   
3. Class 3 mobility scooters, 8 mph large road going scooters, with power, comfort and range for the longer day out – or the quicker trip to the shops!
